
About Chang
Chang Wang, who also goes by William (Pronouns he/him/they), is an aspiring filmmaker and musician with a focus on Editing and Sound. He is a graduate of the Television, Radio & Film program from Newhouse, Syracuse University.
After moving to NYC in 2017, he landed his first job working onset for the show, Bonding (Netflix); He has worked as a Sound Mixer/Operator for productions large and small, from independent short films to Viacom content. Starting August 2019, he worked as an in-house editor for the award-winning production company, SPACESTATION, and was lucky enough to be a part of various projects with clients including Condé Nast, Nasdaq, Google, and the UN.
As a big musical fan with a life-long passion for singing, Chang took the opportunity to venture into the theatre world in NYC. In 2019, he completed a certified 40-hour Voice Teacher Training from New York Vocal Coaching, Inc, taught by renowned Broadway vocal coach, Justin Stoney. As a voice student under the wing of off-Broadway star Xiaoqing Zhang, he made his cabaret debut in 2019 at The Duplex, lower Manhattan. Later that year he worked in the first mandarin immersive theatre in NYC, The White Night, as a Dancer & Assistant Stage Manager.
Chang is beyond grateful for the mentors and friends he met through all these experiences. He will continue learning, following his passion for Storytelling, Music, Audio & Visual Arts that led him thus far.
